Bridal boudoir photography: a personal perspective

Why should I choose you over other boudoir photographers? I'm not a cheerleader. I won't hype you up or tell you you're amazing every five minutes. What I will do is give you a space where you don't have to perform or live up to anything. I also don't retouch my images, because I don't think anything needs fixing. If that sounds like what you're looking for, we'll probably work well together.

How much time should I set aside? The consultation call takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The session itself is 2 hours — add another 30 to 60 minutes if you're including hair and makeup. The reveal is usually somewhere between an hour and an hour and a half, and will be 3-4 weeks after the session, depending on availability on both sides.

What if I need to reschedule? Rescheduling is possible, but the notice you give matters. Eight days or more and your session fee carries over with no additional cost. The closer to the session date, the more a late notice fee applies — starting at CHF 50 and going up to CHF 200 for last-minute changes. The full details are in your contract.

Will my images be shared on your social media? No. The images on my website and social media are all from workshops, not from client sessions. Your session is entirely your own, and that's where it stays unless you decide otherwise.

Is hair and makeup included? It's not included but it is available as an add-on. Although a lot of people prefer to come as they are, some enjoy the extra pampering. We'll go over it during our consultation call

Do you provide outfits? No, I don't. What you wear should feel like you, whether that is something new or your well used granny panties. We'll talk through what to bring during our consultation call, and I'll send you some guidance beforehand as well.

Is a consultation call really necessary? Yes. I want to know where you're at and what you're hoping to get out of this. And you should have a sense of who I am before we spend two hours together. This kind of session works best when there's already a bit of a connection, and that starts with a conversation.

When do I pay for my images? During the reveal, you go through your images and pick the ones you can't live without, and whether you want any tangible products. There's no minimum spend and no pressure whatsoever.

What if I'm not where I want to be yet? There's no version of you that needs to exist before you can do this. I work with you as you are today — not as a before, not as a project, just as you.

Do I need to know how to pose? No. I'll guide you through the session, but I will not contort you into the typical Pinterest boudoir poses. We are aiming more for finding what feels natural for you, and that's something we figure out together.

What if seeing myself like this is confronting? That's a real fear and I won't dismiss it. What I will say is that a photograph taken with this much care and attention tells a different story than what you see in the mirror in the morning. It's still you — nothing is altered — but seen through different eyes. If you can come in with the mindset that you are who you are right now, and that that's enough, the rest tends to take care of itself.

I usually pick myself apart in photos — what would be different now? Because this time, you're not taking a selfie in bad lighting or being caught off guard at a family dinner. You have two hours, someone guiding you, and a camera pointed at you with actual intention. That's a very different starting point.

What if I feel too awkward on the day? Most people walk in nervous but they also forget about it faster than they expected. I can't fully explain how that happens, but it does, consistently. The consultation call is definitely helpful in that we are no strangers. And once we're in it together, the session just tends to find its own rhythm.
