Capturing the moments of today that will warm your heart tomorrow
Working with me as your horse photographer
You are busy with life, with your family. Whatever time you have left, you want to spend with your horse. Yes, you would like beautiful photos of you and your horse. And yes, you would love to create amazing artwork with those photos. But there's always something else that requires your attention first.
I'm an enthusiastic horse lover who can help you capture these precious moments with your horse and create the artwork for you.

What I love about my job
Do you deeply enjoy spending time with your horse?
Do you want to perpetuate those precious moments?
Then you came to the right place!
I take delight in capturing these majestic animals. I want to catch on camera the bond you and your horse have built, and I want to give you the opportunity to relive that experience at any time.
In each of your images, you will be able to see the love between you and your horse, the art-to-heart conversations you have with your best friend.
I am Caroline Nijs,
a horse lover turned photographer,
passionate about both.
Why I do this
It is my goal to make you feel good in front of the camera.
All people are beautiful. Our bodies tell our stories and every story is worth telling. Your horse accepts you the way you are. And so do I. So you can relax and just be in the moment with your horse. And the amazing, honest images we will create together will reflect the beauty of that moment.
I strive to be an inclusive photographer who embraces diversity.
A photo session with me means a safe, judgment-free space for you.

"Caroline did a great job with our family, including both two-legged and four-legged family members. She was flexible with schedules, had great ideas for scenery and was patient, like you need to be with animals!
Her passion for both horses and photography showed, and the overall experience with her was fantastic, with some awesome pictures to remember our little girl and horses for years to come! Thanks Caroline!"

What to expect?
My aim is to make this experience as easy and stress-free as possible.
I’ll walk you through each step—from booking to the viewing session—so you’re never left guessing. Once your session is confirmed, we’ll plan a pre-session consultation, then move on to the photo session itself, and finally your private viewing. The goal is simple: to create something you’ll remember. Not just the photos, but the entire experience.
You’ll hear from me regularly by email with updates, reminders, or things to think about before your session. As a neurodivergent, it’s my preferred way of staying in touch—clear, consistent, and easy to refer back to. I’m also happy to chat via DM if that’s easier for you. I just don’t do phone calls unless we’ve agreed on it in advance.
What is included?
-
When you book your session with me, we always have a pre-session consultation. This is a short video call to go over your ideas, concerns, and any preferences around location, styling, or mood.
You’ll also receive a client guide, and I’ll ask you to fill out a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your horse better before we shoot.
-
On the day of the photo session, we will have a walk around the yard to see what areas and backdrops complement the both of you. We will also discuss which outfits and accessories will work best with respect to the surroundings.
Don't worry, you don’t need to know how to pose—I’ll help you get there naturally.
We will take however much time we need, but this mostly depends on how much horse can handle. I have noticed most horses do not tolerate these shenanigans much longer than 2 hours.
The result will be a set of photographs that reflect you in an beautifully authentic way.
-
Once your photos are ready, we’ll schedule a private viewing, where I’ll show you the final, edited versions.
This is why my turnaround takes a bit longer than some other photographers: I prefer to never show raw, unedited files. Do keep in mind, I don’t use Photoshop to alter your appearance, only to remove temporary blemishes.
During this session, we’ll also talk through product options to help you decide what best fits your space and preferences.

Whenever possible, I personally deliver your photos and products.
